PSC released the record for the 45th BCS preliminary examination results in the shortest time. The preliminary examination was held on May 19. Accordingly, PSC released the preliminary results on June 6 within 17 days of the examination.

12 thousand 789 people have passed the preliminary. But out of the last 5 BCS, the 45th BCS preliminaries have the lowest number of candidates, which is less than 5 percent. 77 percent candidates appeared in the 45th BCS preliminary exam held on May 19.
2 lakh 68 thousand 119 have participated out of 3 lakh 46 thousand candidates. 78 thousand 803 people did not take the exam. A total of 2,309 cadres will be recruited through the 45th BCS. 1 thousand 22 people will be taken in non-cadre.
Mark Distribution for Written Exam
Candidates declared qualified by the Commission in the Preliminary Test have to appear in the written test of 900 marks. According to the prescribed educational qualification, 27 cadres are divided into two categories: general cadre and technical/professional cadre.

46th BCS Circular
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is giving special importance to January 1 considering the age of the candidates. In this reality, this constitutional institution has taken the plan to release the 46th general BCS notification on January 1st. However, the commission has not yet received the demand for vacancies in the 46th BCS. A plan to complete one BCS every year has also been undertaken.
Meanwhile, the commission is in a bit of a tizzy over the three BCS. Because the viva of 41st BCS is ongoing. 43rd BCS written exam result is also ready. According to PSC sources, the ongoing viva-jam in Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination is being reduced. A BCS viva program shall be completed within six months of the commencement of the viva. In no case shall the number of passers in the final examination be kept more than three times the original number of posts.
